Sauce by The Langham stands proud as the first cookery school situated within a central London luxury hotel. The Langham chefs and I carefully developed a series of classes that focus on a variety of invaluable kitchen skills that can be enjoyed by inexperienced chefs and accomplished cooks alike. Our range of full day and half day classes each take inspiration from my family’s culinary archives and strike the perfect balance between education and fun. Shaken & Seared In this exciting evening class, master the art of preparing the perfect steak dinner. Held after work hours, it provides a great alternative to dining out. Learn essential searing techniques and discover how to create amazing sauces that can take your steak to the next level. What’s more, guests will enjoy an expertly crafted cocktail courtesy of our award-winning Artesian bar team. Embark on a journey to master the art of pasta making from scratch. In this highly sought-after pasta class, you’ll learn all the techniques for prepping, rolling, and filling various pasta shapes. Additionally, you will discover the art of preparing a range of delectable, yet straightforward sauces that perfectly complement your homemade pasta creations. During Sauce’s half day bread class, you will learn the fundamentals of bread making, mastering a classic range of techniques. From a basic country loaf and enriched doughs to heritage grains and pre-fermentation. From Milk Buns, Focaccia, Soda Bread and a Rustic Country Loaf, participants will try their hand at a selection of different bakes. This half-day class will walk participants through the creation of four classic puddings, that will vary throughout the seasons. From creating the perfect shortcrust pastry from scratch, to mastering the art of the chocolate fondant and its sought after oozing centre, and much in between, the Sauce team will show you how to execute these faultlessly time and time again. Bread Baking Proper Puddings Master the Pasta
Our Building Block classes are perfect for providing you with the key skills needed to produce outstanding dishes, all in a fun, informal and relaxed atmosphere. Explore and refine your cooking techniques alongside our team of experts, who will guide you through everything from mastering knife skills, creating home-made pasta, baking that perfect bun, to stirring up tasty stocks and sauces. By the end of each half-day session, you will leave the kitchen with newfound confidence and armed with a wealth of tips and techniques from the Sauce chefs. All classes conclude in one of our beautiful dining rooms where you will have the pleasure of enjoying the fruits of your labour. Our selection of classes include : Masterclass with Michel Roux Jr Embark on a culinary journey with acclaimed chef Michel Roux Jr. as he shares his expertise and favourite seasonal dishes in an exclusive masterclass. You will be guided through the preparation of a sumptuous three-course meal, inspired by The Roux Archives. Each dish will be meticulously demonstrated by Chef Michel himself, providing invaluable insights into his best practises, before executing the recipes yourself under the guidance of Chef Michel and the Sauce team. Suitable for all skill levels, this unique experience offers incredible, hands-on learning from this culinary legend who will be present from start to finish.

Sauce offers a selection of classes designed with kids and teens in mind, providing an exciting culinary experience tailored to their interests. These classes are held periodically during school holidays and offer something for children of all ages. For the younger ones, two delightful baking classes are available; one focusing on creating delectable sweet treats, while the other explores the art of making savoury snacks. Older kids can enjoy a baking class that delves into the world of bread and cakes, or immerse themselves in the craft of pasta-making and matching sauces, perfect for building some kitchen confidence. Whichever class they choose, a guaranteed fun half-day awaits these budding chefs as they unleash their creativity and develop their culinary skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Kids Baking Class - Savoury Bakes
Ideal for junior chefs aged 6-12, this fun and exciting bakery class focuses on savoury bites. From no-knead bread making to creating delicious savoury snacks such as pesto, palmiers, cheese straws and savoury scones. Recipes may vary but fun is always guaranteed! Children will also be offered a selection of drinks and snacks to keep energy levels up throughout the class.
Sous Chefs - Baking
In this course aimed at 12-16 year olds, students will learn to prepare a wonderful selection of baked goods through demonstrations, tastings, and hands-on cooking. Held during

school holidays, this class will boost confidence and equip teens with valuable skills for independence at home and elsewhere. Not only is this class a fun holiday activity, but it also offers an educational experience. Kids Baking Class - Sweet Bakes
Sous Chefs - Pasta
Perfect for children aged 4-10 years old. Led by our friendly team of chefs, kids will have fun whilst learning the fundamentals of baking. From brownies and cookies to lemon cake and sweet scones, mini chefs get to prepare four different recipes and take their delicious bakes home at the end of the session. To keep energy levels high, snacks and drinks are provided.
This cookery class is specifically designed for 12-16 year olds to learn the art of making the perfect pasta at home. From the basics of dough-making and rolling, to a selection of mouth-watering sauces, budding chefs will have the chance to take this humble dish to the next level and impress family and friends. Not only is this class a perfect holiday activity, but it also offers an educational experience.
